read udding

1 loaf of white bread (16oz) 5 slices white bread 4c milk 1 1/2c sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 4-6 tbsp butter cinnamon to taste

1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. grease a 9x13 baking pan
3. shred bread into pieces and place in pan
4. mix milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla - pour over bread pieces and soak well
5. sprinkle top with cinnamon
6. place pats of butter on top
7. bake for 1 hour, let cool and add topping

topping: 2tsp cornstarch, 1c sugar, 1c water. boil until thick. remove from heat, add 3/4 stick of butter, 1tsp vanilla, stir until butter has melted and pour over top.
